The Calculator illustrates that when other leading EPoS systems are used alongside the Casio V-R7000 for 10 full hours each day, the total cost of energy running across a five year period is £677.40 cheaper using the Casio V-R7000 platform.

Technically, what’s behind the lower electricity overhead for Casio? The V-R7000 hardware platform consumes considerably less power than a conventional PC based EPoS system as it requires only 20 watts on full power and 4.1 watts in stand-by mode. This is a saving of over 85% when compared to most PC based EPOS systems. This is achieved as the V-R7000/7100 POS terminals are designed without a fan, hard disk drive or any movable components constantly whirring behind the scenes.
